Description
The Taiwan fulvetta (Fulvetta formosana) is a bird species in the family Sylviidae. Like the other typical fulvettas, it was long included in the Timaliidae genus Alcippe. In addition, it was long included in F. cinereiceps as a subspecies. This species is endemic to Taiwan.

Taiwan Fulvetta consumes insects and seeds, foraging in pairs or small groups with a ground-centric, mouse-like method.
Habitat
The habitat of taiwan Fulvetta is characterized by dense underbrush in both coniferous and deciduous forests, often associated with bamboo understoreys. These birds are typically found in montane regions with a prevalence of alpine bamboo and pinewood undergrowth, favoring areas with a mix of forest cover and adjacent open vegetation.
