Description

The white-hooded babbler (Gampsorhynchus rufulus) is a species of bird in the family Pellorneidae. It is found from the eastern Himalayas to central Myanmar and southwestern China. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest and subtropical or tropical moist montane forest.

Feeding Habits
White-hooded Babbler primarily consumes invertebrates, foraging around 2-7.5 meters above ground in bamboo canopies. They forage in gregarious, noisy groups of up to 20, sometimes with other bird species. White-hooded Babbler shows no particular shyness during their social feeding behavior.
Habitat
White-hooded Babbler typically inhabits the bamboo thickets and middle storey regions of broadleaf evergreen forests. These birds are also well-adapted to areas of secondary growth, scrublands, and regions with dense bushes and tall grasses commonly found at the periphery of forests across broader geographical regions.
