  The tawny antpitta (Grallaria quitensis) is a species of bird in the family Grallariidae. It is found in Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist montane forest.

  The habitat of tawny Antpitta is characterized by a variety of highland ecosystems in the Andes. These birds are partial to disturbed areas and open landscapes, with a presence in elfin forests, paramo ecosystems including those dominated by bunch-grass and cushion-plants, and areas with dispersed shrubbery and trees. Additionally, they inhabit secondary growth like hedgerows and gardens, and have an affinity for wetland environments such as lakeshores and swamps.
