  Feeding Habits
Undulated Antpitta predominantly consumes insects, foraging solitarily mainly on the ground. It employs a unique 'hop-and-pause' technique, tilting its head to detect prey before pouncing quickly. Post-feeding, undulated Antpitta displays a characteristic 'puff-and-flick' behavior, accompanied by bobbing on its long legs.
    Habitat
The undulated Antpitta primarily inhabits the floor of humid and wet montane forests, as well as mossy woodlands composed of Polylepis trees. It is also found within dense thickets of Chusquea bamboo, Neurolepis cane, and areas with secondary growth. The undulated Antpitta is known to occupy disturbed semi-humid shrublands and secondary growth areas, primarily within broader montane regions. It occasionally ventures into pastures and open spaces near forests, especially during low-light conditions like dawn, dusk, or foggy weather.
