Description
The slaty-crowned antpitta (Grallaricula nana) is a species of bird placed in the family Grallariidae. It is found in Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Peru, and Venezuela. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist montane forests.

The preferred habitat of slaty-crowned Antpitta involves dense thickets of Chusquea spp. bamboo, often within mixed forest areas that intertwine with bamboo patches. Slaty-crowned Antpitta thrives in environments with thick bamboo tangles and shows adaptability to habitat disturbances, being present even in degraded second-growth forest fragments.
