Description
The rose-breasted chat (Granatellus pelzelni) is a species of bird in the family Cardinalidae. It is found in Bolivia, Brazil, French Guiana, Guyana, Suriname and Venezuela where its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests.

Feeding Habits
Rose-breasted Chat predominantly feeds on insects and other invertebrates. It forages primarily in the canopy and dense vine tangles, but also in the understorey, actively gleaning foliage and making flycatching sprints. Outside breeding season, it may join mixed-species foraging groups.
Habitat
The rose-breasted Chat resides primarily in tropical rainforests and forest edges, favoring regions with well-developed second growth. These birds are often found near rivers or lagoons within the forest interior, typically inhabiting areas characterized by drier deciduous forests. Their preferred habitats are generally situated in the tropical regions at very low altitudes.
