Description
The uniform finch (Haplospiza unicolor) is a species of bird in the family Thraupidae. It is found in the southern Atlantic Forest of Brazil, Paraguay and far northeastern Argentina. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest and subtropical or tropical moist montane forest.

Feeding Habits
Uniform Finch predominantly feeds on bamboo seeds, especially those of the Guadua, as well as grass seeds and insects. Uniform Finch forages mainly near the ground but will also search for food higher up when necessary.
Habitat
The primary habitat of uniform Finch consists of humid forest margins and dense understory, particularly areas with a high density of bamboo from the genera Guadua and Chusquea. These birds are typically found in environments that maintain high humidity levels and offer ample vegetation cover.
