Description
The male has a black hood, blue bill, an eyebrow and an eye ring. The upper part is pale brown and the lower part is pink-red. The tail is brown above and it has a white under tail with black borders. Females have a dark brown head with chestnut around the eye and lores. The lower part is yellowish.

Feeding Habits
Cinnamon-rumped Trogon primarily consumes insects, foraging 2-3 meters above ground with distinctive methods suited to its dietary needs.
Habitat
The cinnamon-rumped Trogon frequently inhabits the middle and lower strata of humid evergreen forests, prominently in the lowlands and hills. The species predominantly resides in areas where the closed canopy persists, commonly up to elevations of 180 m in the Southeast Asian region. It prefers the shrub layer, often found 2–4 m above ground. In Borneo, the cinnamon-rumped Trogon is considered a slope specialist, occupying the submontane zone generally at elevations of 1000–1400 m, occasionally venturing into tall primary or logged dipterocarp forests, and even peatswamp forests.
