Feeding Habits
Whiskered Treeswift primarily consumes small flying arthropods. It forages from lower canopy perches, engaging in short sorties close to vegetation, sometimes hovering. Usually solitary or in pairs, whiskered Treeswift may feed alongside H. longipennis and is not as gregarious as other Hemiprocne species.
Habitat
The whiskered Treeswift predominantly resides in the primary canopies of evergreen forests, often near rivers, and in regions with tall, mature mangroves. While primarily associated with lowland areas, they are found up to mid-mountainous regions within broader Southeast Asia's tropical zones.
