Description
The black-throated tody-tyrant (Hemitriccus granadensis) is a species of bird in the family Tyrannidae. It is found in Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist montane forests.

Black-throated Tody-tyrant primarily consumes insects, hunting alone or with a partner. It uses upward strikes from perches to glean prey from leaf undersides, often associating with mixed-species flocks for foraging.
Habitat
The black-throated Tody-tyrant primarily inhabits humid and mossy montane forests, as well as stunted upper cloudforests. This species is known to frequent shrubby second-growth patches and the borders of cloudforests. It often occupies overgrown landslides and other semi-open areas within these general forested environments.
