Description
The pearly-vented tody-tyrant (Hemitriccus margaritaceiventer) is a species of bird in the family Tyrannidae. It is found in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests, subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, and subtropical or tropical dry shrubland.

Feeding Habits
Pearly-vented Tody-tyrant primarily feed on insects, foraging solo or in pairs in shrubs and low trees. They snatch insects with brief upward strikes, focusing on leaf undersides near ground or at eye level.
Habitat
Pearly-vented Tody-tyrant chiefly thrives in areas with shrubby, arid to semi-arid scrub vegetation, lower undergrowth of deciduous woodlands, and shrubby regions commonly used for cattle grazing. Although less frequently, pearly-vented Tody-tyrant also occupies dense, riparian thickets and specialized habitats such as heath-like and Bonnetia scrublands in certain highland plateaus and mountain ranges.
