Feeding Habits
Black-headed Sibia's diet includes insects, grubs, berries, and nectar. They forage arboreally, often in pairs or groups, favoring treetops but will descend for berries. Black-headed Sibia exhibits skulking, jerky movements in mossy areas and captures some prey mid-flight, showing a preference for wasps in captivity.
Habitat
The black-headed Sibia typically inhabits a variety of forested environments, predominantly consisting of broadleaf evergreen forests, as well as areas featuring oak and pine trees. These birds are also commonly found in regions where the forest transitions into open areas or edges, generally in temperate zones with a preference for wooded landscapes. Seasonal shifts in habitat utilization are observed, with the species occasionally descending to lower altitudes during more severe winter periods.
