Description
The aberrant bush warbler (Horornis flavolivaceus) is a species in the bush warbler family, Cettiidae. It was formerly included in the "Old World warbler" assemblage. It is found in central and southern China, and the northern extremes of Myanmar and Vietnam. It occurs in the countries of Bhutan, China, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Philippines, Thailand, Timor-Leste and Vietnam and also may occur in northeastern and southeastern Bangladesh.

Aberrant Bush Warbler primarily occupies lush undergrowth habitats, including dense thickets of bamboo, ferns, and bushes as well as tall grass clumps. This species exhibits a strong tendency towards habitats with scrub undergrowth, particularly in forest clearings and at the edges of various forest types, often including pine, rhododendron, and oak forests. During the non-breeding season, aberrant Bush Warbler descends to lower elevations, favoring foothills, lowlands, and valleys.
