Description
The thicket antpitta (Hylopezus dives) is a species of bird in the family Grallariidae. It is found in Colombia, Costa Rica, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, and perhaps Ecuador. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest and heavily degraded former forest.

Feeding Habits
Thicket Antpitta primarily consumes arthropods and small vertebrates, including frogs. Foraging along the forest floor, it exhibits unique hunting techniques to capture prey stealthily. Its diet reflects specialized adaptations to its understory environment.

Dense, tangled thickets and vegetation along streams and forest edges, riparian zones and treefalls, cacao and banana plantations
