Description
The ashy-headed greenlet (Hylophilus pectoralis) is a species of bird in the family Vireonidae. It is found in Bolivia, Brazil, French Guiana, Guyana, Peru, Suriname, and Venezuela. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests, subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical mangrove forests, and heavily degraded former forest.

Feeding Habits
Ashy-headed Greenlet primarily consumes insects such as caterpillars, grasshoppers, beetles, ants, and various bugs, with some vegetable matter including mistletoe berries. It actively forages in outer foliage, often joining mixed-species flocks.
Habitat
The ashy-headed Greenlet predominantly dwells in a variety of woodland and forested habitats, including deciduous forests, secondary growth areas, as well as human-modified environments like plantations and gardens. It also occupies the peripheries of mangrove forests. This bird species is generally associated with lowland regions.
