Description
The lemon-chested greenlet (Hylophilus thoracicus) is a species of bird in the family Vireonidae. It is found in Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyana, Peru, Suriname, and Venezuela. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical swamps, and heavily degraded former forest.

The lemon-chested Greenlet primarily resides in humid forest environments and tall secondary growth areas. Its habitat spans across broader geographical regions that include both terra firme forest and, in certain areas, seasonally flooded forest (várzea), restinga, and low woodland, extending to urban parks. The lemon-chested Greenlet displays adaptability to various forested ecosystems within its range.
