Feeding Habits
Spectacled Tyrant's diet consists mainly of insects and occasionally spiders, centipedes, and small frogs. They forage alone, capturing prey on the ground or in flight from perches.
Habitat
The spectacled Tyrant primarily occupies open and grassy areas, frequently found in association with wetland environments. Its preferred habitats include marshlands, fields, and pastures that are often, but not exclusively, near water bodies. This bird thrives in regions characterized by open landscapes and it does not necessarily rely on the immediate presence of water for nesting, as it also adapts to upland grasslands.
