The riverside tyrant (Knipolegus orenocensis) is a species of bird in the family Tyrannidae. It is found in Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist shrubland.

The riverside Tyrant is typically found in semi-open scrub areas along rivers and near lakes. Its preferred environment includes regions with early successional vegetation such as Tessaria, Gymnerium cane, and Cecropia saplings, which are common on seasonally flooded river islands. It tends to inhabit more open environments in comparison to its relative the Amazonian Black-Tyrant, particularly in regions where both species coexist.
