The Burmese shrike (Lanius collurioides) is a species of bird in the family Laniidae. It is found in Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, India, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest and subtropical or tropical moist montane forest.

Burmese Shrike primarily consumes insects, especially Orthoptera, alongside lizards and small vertebrates. Solo or in small groups, it exhibits noisy, active wing-flapping and screeching, possibly related to mating. Perches visibly to dive for ground prey or hops in shade to forage.
Habitat
The burmese Shrike predominantly inhabits secondary broadleaf and pine forests' clearings and edges, as well as scrubby woodland. It frequents cultivated fields, roadside vegetation, and gardens. During the non-breeding season, it is commonly found in lowland agricultural areas across Southeast Asia.
