The Asian rosy finch or Asian rosy-finch (Leucosticte arctoa) is a species of finch in the family Fringillidae. It breeds in Mongolia and the East Palearctic; it winters in Manchuria, Korea, Sakhalin and Japan. Its natural habitats are tundra and temperate grassland.

Feeding Habits
Asian Rosy-finch consumes seeds, buds, stamens, shoots, and invertebrates. Its foraging behavior includes searching for food on the ground and in low vegetation, displaying a preference for varied high-altitude diets, with unique adaptations for cold environments.
Habitat
Asian Rosy-finch typically inhabits barren, treeless montane plateaux, alpine tundra, and moraines at the edges of snowfields and glaciers. These birds are found at elevations ranging extensively from 1300 meters in some regions to 5500 meters in others. Their preferred terrain includes rocky slopes, cliffs, and various types of shorelines, including boulder beaches. During the breeding season, they select high-altitude zones, while in winter, asian Rosy-finch descends to lower elevations, occupying open grassy areas on hillsides, the periphery of farmlands, coastal plains with sporadic trees, and rocky shorelines, occasionally reaching sea level.
