Black-headed Mountain Finch forages on the ground, along snow-melt edges, or on vegetation. This gregarious bird feeds in flocks, showing distinct flight formations during foraging excursions.
Habitat
The black-headed Mountain Finch typically inhabits barren, treeless high-altitude terrains, including montane crags, cliffs, stony alpine meadows, and valleys.
