The red-faced liocichla (Liocichla phoenicea) is a species of bird in the family Leiothrichidae.

Red-faced Liocichla's diet consists primarily of insects, berries, and seeds. This bird typically forages alone, in pairs, or small groups, often part of mixed-species flocks. Skulking by nature, red-faced Liocichla feeds mainly in undergrowth and on the ground, occasionally in trees up to 10 meters high.
Habitat
Red-faced Liocichla thrives in environments with dense undergrowth characteristic of broadleaf evergreen forests and secondary growth thickets, often found alongside cultivation areas and streams. These birds are associated with habitats that include grasslands and scrub areas, preferentially occupying large expanses of undisturbed broadleaf forest.
