Description
The Baikal bush warbler, Baikal grasshopper-warbler or David's bush warbler (Locustella davidi) is a migratory species of Old World warbler in the family Locustellidae. It breeds from the southern part of the Russian Far East (including the Lake Baikal region) to northeast China (southern Heilungkiang south to southern Hopeh) and North Korea. It winters from southern China south to northern Thailand. Its breeding habitat is taiga forests, especially in clearings or at streams.

Feeding Habits
Baikal Bush Warbler primarily consumes insects, foraging alone near the ground within dense cover. Baikal Bush Warbler exhibits unique running and tail-cocking behaviors while feeding in seclusion.
Habitat
During the breeding season, baikal Bush Warbler predominantly occupies scrubby thickets adjacent to streams and clearings within the taiga forest landscapes, typically in hilly and foothill regions. Outside of the breeding period, baikal Bush Warbler is found in various scrubby environments, which include the peripheries of plains and cultivated areas near rivers, as well as in reedbeds, all within broad temperate zones.
