Feeding Habits
Spotted Bush Warbler primarily consumes insects, often foraging solitarily on or near the ground and utilizing dense cover for feeding, especially in the early morning. They exhibit mouse-like movements, dexterously maneuvering through vegetation with a partially cocked tail.
Habitat
Spotted Bush Warbler typically inhabits scrubby thickets and dense vegetation near forest clearings, such as areas dominated by dwarf juniper, barberry, dwarf rhododendron, and bracken. Post-breeding, spotted Bush Warbler can be found in grasslands and reedbeds, such as Phragmites, as well as dense grasses along damp areas. These environments are generally characterized by their proximity to water sources, such as ditches and water channels, and the availability of thick vegetation cover.
