Description
The pale-headed munia (Lonchura pallida) is a species of estrildid finch found in Indonesia. It is found in artificial landscapes, subtropical and tropical lowlands, dry shrubland and grassland habitat. The status of the species is evaluated as Least Concern.

Feeding Habits
Pale-headed Munia primarily feeds on grass seeds and rice, foraging for both growing and fallen seeds. Pale-headed Munia can be observed feeding in flocks, ranging from small groups to gatherings of up to 200, sometimes alone or in pairs, and often accompanied by L. malacca.
Habitat
Pale-headed Munia are typically found in open grasslands, which provide an abundance of grassy scrub, a preferred environment for these birds. Additionally, they are common occupants of cultivated areas, often seen thriving in rice paddies where these habitats offer suitable conditions for feeding and nesting.
