Habitat
The festive Coquette thrives in subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, including second growth woods and areas of severe ecological alteration, such as heavily degraded former forests. Habitually found in regions characterized by humid forests and the unique cerrado savanna ecosystem, these birds can typically be observed at elevations up to 1000 meters. Pertinently, their preferred habitat is devoid of geographic specificity within the overarching biomes and altitudes outlined.
