The spangled coquette, coquette pailletée, coqueta coronada, or coqueta lentejuelada (Lophornis stictolophus) is a species of hummingbird in the family Trochilidae. It is found in Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forest, subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest, and heavily degraded former forest.

Feeding Habits
Spangled Coquette sustains mostly on nectar from flowers such as Inga, Lantana, Verbenaceae, and Myrtaceae. Also exhibits aerial hawking to catch arthropods. Its feeding behavior showcases an adaptation for both plant and insect food sources.
Habitat
The spangled Coquette inhabits edges of humid forests, forest clearings, and is also found in cerrado regions and drier, scrubby areas. This species tends to occupy ecological niches similar to those of closely related species, yet it typically resides in lower altitude zones.
