Description
The club-winged manakin (Machaeropterus deliciosus) is a small passerine bird which is a resident breeding species in the cloud forest on the western slopes of the Andes Mountains of Colombia and northwestern Ecuador. The manakins are a family (Pipridae) of small bird species of subtropical and tropical Central and South America.

Feeding Habits
Club-winged Manakin consumes a diet of small berries and insects, expertly plucked from foliage during flight. This species occasionally joins mixed-species flocks to forage, using aerial maneuvers to snatch its food.
Habitat
The club-winged Manakin typically inhabits wet montane forests with a notable presence of moss, as well as mature secondary woodlands. These environments are characterized by high humidity and substantial vegetative growth, providing ideal conditions for the club-winged Manakin's survival and breeding activities.
