Description
Horsfield's babbler (Malacocincla sepiaria) is a species of bird in the family Pellorneidae. It is found in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest and subtropical or tropical moist montane forest. The common name commemorates the American naturalist Thomas Horsfield.

Feeding Habits
Horsfield's Babbler primarily consumes insects such as locustids, beetles, butterflies, ants, and grubs. It forages on the ground and in vegetation up to 15 meters high, including creeper-covered trees. Found foraging alone, in pairs, or small groups.
Habitat
The horsfield's Babbler is predominantly found in broadleaf evergreen forests that are often situated adjacent to streams or bodies of water. It also inhabits areas with logged or aged secondary forests, including regions with Albizia and Gmelina vegetation. This species occupies the lowland areas and adapts well to varying altitudinal zones within broader geographical landscapes of Southeast Asia, excluding specifics on elevation range as instructed.
