Feeding Habits
Pearled Treerunner's diet primarily consists of arthropods. These birds often forage in pairs or groups and join mixed-species flocks, searching for food from mid-storey to canopy levels, adeptly navigating moss-covered surfaces and upside-down on branches to glean their prey.
Habitat
The pearled Treerunner predominantly inhabits montane evergreen forests and elfin forests, with a preference for moist, mossy environments rich in epiphytes. It is also found in Polylepis woodlands and secondary growth areas, favoring stunted, high-elevation forests. The bird's range extends across broad geographical regions characterized by these forest types.
