Feeding Habits
Yellow-billed Nunbird primarily consumes insects, foraging typically in the air and less often at substrates compared to related species. It exhibits a preference for perching on exposed high branches, especially at forest edges.
Habitat
The yellow-billed Nunbird typically inhabits the subcanopy and understorey of humid and transitional forests, as well as second growth and forest clearings. It is also found in terra firme forest borders, second-growth woodlands, overgrown clearings with scattered trees, and bamboo stands within the Southwestern Amazonian region. This species often occupies areas that are also home to closely related species in different forest types such as the lowland terra firme and várzea.
