Feeding Habits
Dark-faced Ground Tyrant's diet primarily consists of insects captured through short runs and hops, or during prolonged hovering with a spread tail. While usually foraging alone or in pairs, they may join loose flocks in the non-breeding season, and occasionally perch on trees or poles to spot prey.
Habitat
The dark-faced Ground Tyrant's habitat includes open meadows by forests, high Andean slopes, and marshy valleys in the southern cone of South America and the Falkland Islands.
