Description
The stolid flycatcher (Myiarchus stolidus) is a species of bird in the family Tyrannidae. It is found in Hispaniola (Dominican Republic and Haiti), and Jamaica. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forest, subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest, subtropical or tropical mangrove forest, and heavily degraded former forest.

Feeding Habits
Stolid Flycatcher primarily consumes insects and fruits. It uses active foraging and aerial hunting techniques, often during specific times when prey is abundant. Stolid Flycatcher is adapted to exploit a varied diet, but shows no specific unique dietary preferences.
Habitat
Stolid Flycatcher predominantly occupies a range of wooded environments. Its habitat spans lowland forests and their edges, as well as drier woodlands and scrublands. Additionally, this species is present in mangrove forests and both intact and remnant pine forests, suggesting adaptability to various forest types. Higher altitude territories up to 1800 meters, including the peripheries of wet mid-elevation forests, are also within this bird's range. However, stolid Flycatcher tends to avoid cultivated landscapes such as coffee plantations on Hispaniola.
