The Pacific elaenia (Myiopagis subplacens) is a species of bird in the family Tyrannidae. It is found in Ecuador and Peru. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests and subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests.

The pacific Elaenia resides predominantly in environments such as deciduous forests, tall scrublands, and areas of secondary growth that exist close to more mature forest areas. Characteristically favoring drier habitats, the pacific Elaenia may occasionally be found cohabitating with the Greenish Elaenia in certain locales, despite the general distinction in habitat preference.
