  The smoky bush tyrant (Myiotheretes fumigatus) is a species of bird in the family Tyrannidae. It is found in the northern Andes of Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist montane forests.

  Smoky Bush Tyrant primarily consumes insects, foraging alone or in pairs, often below the canopy. It exhibits an erect posture, catching prey mid-air or from vegetation, and occasionally feeds near the ground. Smoky Bush Tyrant demonstrates adept hawking abilities in snatching insects from various surfaces. 
    Habitat 
  The smoky Bush Tyrant typically inhabits middle growth and subcanopies of humid montane and elfin forests. Preferring the edges of clearings, smoky Bush Tyrant are also found on shrubby slopes interspersed with trees. They reside in broader geographical regions characterized by mountainous, moisture-rich forest ecosystems.
