The white-rimmed warbler or white-browed warbler (Myiothlypis leucoblephara) is a species of bird in the family Parulidae. It is found in Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, and Uruguay. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical moist montane forests, subtropical or tropical moist shrubland, and heavily degraded former forest.
Size
14 cm
Feeding Habits
White-browed Warbler primarily consumes insects like weevils, beetles, ants (c. 21%), other Hymenoptera (c. 24%), and Coleoptera (c. 40%). White-browed Warbler gleans food by foraging near the ground, often in dense undergrowth. Occasionally, white-browed Warbler eats spiders, millipedes, and trace plant matter.
Habitat
The white-browed Warbler inhabits dense forests, particularly gallery forests, and areas of well-developed secondary growth featuring a dense understory. These birds are commonly found in environments with proximate water sources, such as rivers or pools, although they are not as closely associated with aquatic ecosystems as some closely related species.
