Feeding Habits
Klages's Antwren consumes a diet comprising insect larvae, orthopterans, mantids, true bugs, and spiders. It forages actively in dense foliage and various forest strata, often overhanging water. Klages's Antwren employs perch-gleaning and hovering techniques, snapping prey audibly with its beak.
Habitat
The habitat of klages's Antwren typically encompasses the canopy and subcanopy layers of lowland evergreen forests, particularly those that are seasonally flooded, with a preference for forests along river edges and on river islands. These birds are characteristically found in the higher strata of the forest but are known to venture lower at forest edges.
