Description
The mountain myzomela, elfin myzomela, or midget myzomela (Myzomela adolphinae) is a species of bird in the family Meliphagidae. It is found in New Guinea. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. This species was named in honour of Adolphine Susanna Wilhelmina Bruijn.

Mountain Myzomela's diet primarily consists of nectar and small arthropods like beetles and bugs. They forage in the forest canopy, probing flowers and gleaning insects from foliage. Typically solitary, mountain Myzomela may form small groups and mingle with other species during feedings.
Habitat
The mountain Myzomela is commonly found in a variety of forest habitats, including montane and mid-montane primary forests, as well as tall secondary growth. It also adapts to human-modified environments such as gardens, agricultural areas with groves of casuarinas or eucalypts, and is regularly seen in urban areas and settlements. This bird species frequents Castanopsis oak woodlands and is occasionally observed in eucalypt savanna regions.
