  Feeding Habits
Red-collared Myzomela primarily feeds on nectar from diverse flora such as Albizia and Syzygium, and also consumes small arthropods and fruits. They forage mainly in the canopy, gleaning from foliage and probing flowers, but will also feed in lower-level vegetation. Unique behaviors include feeding in large, mixed-species groups and showing notable agility and assertiveness while foraging.
    Habitat
The habitat of red-collared Myzomela spans diverse mountainous forests, from lower montane and cloud forests to mossy and riverine environments, with oak and Pandanus vegetation. They adapt to primary and secondary forests, forest edges, and alpine shrublands. Occasionally, they venture into human-altered areas like gardens, but mainly thrive above the forest canopy and not exclusively at treelines.
