 The black-breasted myzomela or red-rumped myzomela (Myzomela vulnerata) is a species of bird in the family Meliphagidae. It is found on Timor island. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical dry forests.

  Black-breasted Myzomela primarily feeds on nectar, supplemented by insects. Black-breasted Myzomela actively forages from the mid-story to the canopy, particularly targeting flowers in trees like Eucalyptus. Though black-breasted Myzomela is very active, it tends to be inconspicuous, often seen alone or in pairs. 
    Habitat 
  The black-breasted Myzomela predominantly inhabits secondary monsoon forests and scrubland areas, as well as primary forests. It thrives in regions characterized by seasonal rainfall patterns supporting rich plant growth that typically accompanies monsoon climates.
