Description
The Abyssian wheatear (Oenanthe lugubris) is a species of bird in the family Muscicapidae. It is found from Ethiopia to southern Kenya and northeastern Tanzania.

The abyssinian Wheatear primarily inhabits rocky and sloped terrains with sporadic vegetation, including moors and cultivated fields. Its natural environment encompasses bushy grasslands and areas with scattered bushes, particularly near arid or semi-arid regions that receive moderate annual rainfall. These birds are also known to occupy habitats with stony scarps and kopjes, as well as pastoral landscapes sometimes extending into human settlements.
