The northern bentbill (Oncostoma cinereigulare) is a species of bird in the family Tyrannidae. It is found in Belize, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, and Panama. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forest, subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest, and heavily degraded former forest.

Feeding Habits
Northern Bentbill primarily feeds on a variety of arthropods, including beetles, arachnids, and various insects like homopterans and orthopterans. It occasionally consumes small berries. Its feeding behaviors include active foraging, often uniquely tailored to hunting different prey.
Habitat
The northern Bentbill is typically found in habitats consisting of thickets and dense undergrowth within humid lowland forests. It also frequents the edges of these forests, as well as tropical deciduous forests, secondary woodlands, and scrubby semi-open areas. These birds inhabit regions from sea level up to altitudes of 1200 meters, and occasionally they can be found at elevations as high as 1450 meters.
