The Somali starling (Onychognathus blythii) is a species of starling in the family Sturnidae. It is found in Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Somalia and Yemen.

Feeding Habits
Somali Starling primarily feed on fruit from Ficus and other plants, insects like beetles and bees, and nectar. They often forage in small flocks and exhibit unique behavior by perching on cattle to find prey or remove ticks.
Habitat
Somali Starling predominantly inhabits arid highland regions, particularly those with an elevation above 1000 meters, often extending up to 3800 meters in certain mountain ranges. This species adapts to environments that range from bushy and shrubby areas to rocky cliffs. During the non-breeding season, somali Starling can also be found at lower altitudes, including sea level, expanding their habitat range over broader geographical regions characterized by dry landscapes.
