Description
The pale-winged starling (Onychognathus nabouroup) is a species of starling in the family Sturnidae. It is found in Angola, Botswana, Namibia, and South Africa.

Feeding Habits
Pale-winged Starling consumes fruits, arthropods, and nectar, foraging on both vegetation and ground. Remarkably, pale-winged Starling also grooms ectoparasites from antelopes and giraffes, showcasing a unique interspecies interaction. Pale-winged Starling adapts to urban environments by feeding on date palms.
Habitat
Pale-winged Starling's typical habitat encompasses arid to semi-arid regions characterized by rocky landscapes, including cliffs and gorges. Primarily distributed in South-western Africa, these habitats range from semi-desert to desert-like conditions. Pale-winged Starling is adapted to thrive from sea-level up to elevations of 2000 meters, frequently centering its activities around rocky outcrops where it finds shelter for roosting and nesting. Surprisingly, it also adapts to urban environments where it forages for food.
