The olive-brown oriole (Oriolus melanotis) or Sunda oriole, is a species of bird in the family Oriolidae. It is endemic to the Lesser Sundas. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests and subtropical or tropical mangrove forests.

Timor Oriole primarily feed on fruit, such as Ficus figs, forages alone or in pairs, and occasionally in larger groups at abundant food sources, from midstorey to canopy.

The timor Oriole is typically found in diverse wooded environments. It frequents the midstorey and canopy of forests, forest edges, and is also commonly seen in mangrove ecosystems. Habitually, the species dwells in areas of wooded cultivation, adapting well to both primary and secondary deciduous monsoon forests, as well as partially wooded areas that have been disturbed. Moreover, timor Oriole resides in open woodlands and areas with dense vegetation like vine forests and Ficus thickets.
