Habitat
The eurasian Golden Oriole predominantly inhabits semi-open or open broadleaf forests, riverine forests with tall trees, and forested steppes within their breeding range. While they typically reside below 600m, they can be found up to 1300m in the Alps and even higher in other regions. In Asia, they also favor floodplain woods, and their non-breeding habitats in Africa include semi-arid to humid woodlands, savanna mosaics, and riverine forests. Although commonly avoiding treeless terrains, eurasian Golden Oriole do forage in such areas and are known to utilize gardens and cultivated landscapes.
