Description
The fawn-breasted whistler (Pachycephala orpheus) is a species of bird in the family Pachycephalidae. It is found on the islands of Timor and Wetar. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical mangrove forests. Alternate names for the fawn-breasted whistler include the Sunda whistler and Timor whistler. The former name is shared with the bare-throated whistler.

Feeding Habits
Fawn-breasted Whistler primarily feeds on insects, foraging in understory and middle canopy. It employs gleaning tactics, and occasionally snatches prey directly from the air or vegetation.
Habitat
The fawn-breasted Whistler typically inhabits a variety of lush, dense vegetative environments including monsoon forests and regenerating secondary growth areas. These birds are also known to reside in scrublands near beaches and hills as well as in localized mangrove ecosystems, inhabiting regions that feature a mix of undergrowth and canopy-level vegetation.
