Description
The green-backed tit (Parus monticolus) is a species of bird in the family Paridae. It is found in Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, India, Laos, Burma, Nepal, Pakistan, Taiwan and Vietnam. Its natural habitats are boreal forest, temperate forest, and subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest.

Feeding Habits
Green-backed Tit primarily feeds on insects, larvae, and plant materials such as berries, seeds, flower buds, and fruit, foraging actively during the day. They exhibit unique preferences for certain types of food based on seasonal availability and possess specialized foraging techniques.
Habitat
The green-backed Tit predominantly occupies temperate and subtropical forests, including deciduous woods with oak and alder trees, mixed and coniferous stands, as well as moist subtropical evergreen woodlands. Habitats range from higher-altitude birch and juniper forests to bamboo undergrowth and scrublands. While breeding, green-backed Tit is commonly found at altitudes of 600–3960 meters depending on the region. Outside the breeding season, green-backed Tit may migrate to forest edges, open orchards, and gardens or descend to lower elevations, between 100–3050 meters, in various geographical zones.
