Description
The Chilean pigeon (Patagioenas araucana) is a species of bird in the family Columbidae. It is found in Chile and adjacent Argentina. Its natural habitat is temperate forests.

The chilean Pigeon resides predominantly within southern temperate forests, notably those rich in monkeypuzzle and southern beech trees. Further north, these birds adapt to drier woodland terrains.
