Habitat
The habitat of marsh Babbler is characterized by low-lying floodplain grasslands, with a preference for areas containing high grasses and reeds, such as Phragmites karka and Arundo donax. It thrives in environments with dense, tall grass like Erianthus/Saccharum, and bushy jungles on damp grounds, often found next to bodies of water. This bird species shows a specialized choice for tall, unburned grassland areas that are in proximity to water sources, and it is also associated with riverine ecosystems that experience seasonal flooding.
